The idea to cut corks into different shapes and to create original, creative pictures came to Franz Rosskogler on the occasion of a holiday trip in the vineyard of South Tyrol. In a dark corner of a friend’s wine cellar he found a wine barrel full of corks. To my question what should happen with these corks, I was told that no one ever wondered about it.
Rosskogler reflected on that and with the help of his wife Josette, he created approx. 80 different cork pictures until this day. The sorting, cutting, designing and gluing takes between 4 and 8 hours per picture. And not infrequently, painful finger cuts occured.
Josette and Franz Rosskogler are happy to present their creations of wine and champagne corks to interested friends, wine lovers, Saveurs Gstaad gourmets and especially hoteliers, sommeliers and wine-growers on the occasion of our sales exhibition from March, 16th to May 5th at the Glasboden room at Heimatwerk in Saanen.
You are cordially invited to the vernissage on Friday, 16th March from 16h00-18h00 at Heimatwerk Saanen!
